“Knockabout,” tells the story of Philo, an expat detective, who turns to his previous partner Monique, for help in solving a current high profile kidnapping case. But where this leads them is to the past, and an old rift between them regarding the disappearance of her brother, which Philo seeks to mend.
Emilie is a filmmaker and programmer, originally from Boulder, Colorado. She has lived and worked in Trinidad and Tobago over the past 10 years. Emilie’s experimental video installations have been exhibited at PG Contemporary in Houston, AIR Gallery in Brooklyn and the Festival International Signes de Nuit in France. Her short films have played at many Caribbean and African Diasporic Film Festivals, as well as at Clermont Ferrand and MIPTV markets.
Emilie, holds an MFA in Film from Vermont College of Fine Arts and is a Rotterdam Producer’s Lab alumni. She is currently in post-production on her debut feature, Moving Parts, shot in Trinidad in 2016. She is an associate producer on the feature film, Play the Devil, directed by Bahamian filmmaker, Maria Govan.
